594 nm to Washington DC! This race so far has flown by, and we are now north of the Tropic of Cancer so can officially claim to be in home waters. Racing has been immensely tight and as I write we are just 1nm further away from the next mark than Qingdao who is currently in first place! It is exciting to be racing again like this but with fickle winds and a system rolling overhead, who knows what these final miles may bring for our fleet. The team are working together well, helming and trimming to their best and churning out excellent food in our progressively increasing-in-humidity galley. We are excited for the next couple of days in the Ocean Sprint, and what looks to be some spicy downwind sailing ahead of the finish line and our journey up the Chesapeake. Vamos DC.
