As we track north, the temperature has noticeably dropped. Sleeping bags are back in use after being packed away some time during the race from Seattle. The sky is clear and blue with the sun shining and a flat sea - we are having some wonderful sailing.

At night, the stars light up the sky until the moon graces us with its presence. The moon has been rising a red/orange colour the last couple of nights.

The wind has been shifty and gusting, giving us a good workout as we have been tacking and changing sails to try and make the most out of the changes. Now it’s settled a bit and we should be on this tack for the coming days. Sail changes are expected though the crew are ready and always primed for action.

We are currently enjoying a close battle with Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam who is helping to keep us focused on getting the most out of the boat. It’s always great to have someone close to match with.
