Since leaving the doldrums 1500-ishmiles ago we have been on the same tack, sailing along conducting the occasional sail change, depending on the wind direction and strength.

Last night that all changed. We engaged stealth mode and made our move gybing over so that now we are heading more west than south.

The low side of the boat is opposite, so no longer am I woken up by the sound of the sheets above my head or with the desperate need to pee, as I have been sleeping with the constant sound of water rushing by my head.

No more lying on the side of the boat. Now I'm the high side, less noise and I can sleep on the mattress not the wall, although I have to climb up into the bunk it's a refreshing change.
