Trick or treat? Happy Halloween all,

Today, the crew has undertaken the mission to carve a pumpkin. Normally a messy challenge at home. We are taking it a bit more extreme by putting the table at 40 degrees, and making it bounce randomly.

The most common question I’m getting at the moment, apart from how we are doing in relation to the rest of the fleet is… “when are we going to go down wind?”

Happily, I point out that at the moment, although we are definitely not going down wind are doing nine to ten kts towards Cape Town.

They say that’s great, but we would like a flat boat and some surfing please. Unfortunately, the weather is not playing ball this year as we chase a big high pressure across the ocean.

We will be going down wind again at some point (maybe in three days) at least the forecast indicates this. Until then the boat will continue to resemble a climbing frame.
