Christmas Eve and the boat is looking like Santa's grotto, tinsel everywhere and Christmas hats on the crew. The secret Santa presents are all wrapped and ready for the big day. Maybe we will get a visit from the big man himself. Possibly coming down from the mast?
Since our last update we have sailed from one wind hole to another and are now cruising along near our southern limit of 45 degrees south. We have been in the pleasurable company of Bekezela and Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam which is always nice to see we are not alone as we trundle along at 3 knots.
The temperature has dropped, boots and thermals have been dug out of the bottom of bags, some hope for snow on Christmas Day, but that is looking somewhat unfeasible. Gloves and hats are the order of the day. Today is our last chance to perfect our caroling before the big day tomorrow, we have changed our song to Fairytale of New York, and practice will be filmed after popular demand
Merry Christmas Eve to all of our friends at Clipper Race HQ, in the fleet, along with our supporters, family and friends. We will be back on Boxing Day to share everything we have been up to, and our wonderful on board reporter Tiger has been hard at work taking great shots of all our preparations.
