Hello,

Hope all is well wherever you are! Out here it is very much the same, fantastic weather and lots of current going in varying directions. Today saw us set a 6hr speed record for Zhuhai of 14 knots. Being honest, in the current it didn't feel as dramatic as you'd expect, but it definitely highlighted just how powerful a force the Gulf Stream can be.

Converging with the rest of the fleet has been the other excitement today, first seeing UNICEF and Our Isles and Oceans and then later Qingdao and waaay off in the distance Perseverance. We always suspected we'd kind of bunch up again and it's nice to see some other boats, although it does point to what might be a very tense second half or so of the race to come! Right now we seem to have found a bit of the Gulf Stream that is going backwards which has somewhat stifled progress and we are now making an effort to push our way out of it. With the wind set to only get lighter and less predictable it looks like it’s going to be quite a tricky 48hrs or more coming up, so wish us luck!

All the best from the crew, Mike and myself
