With the GREAT Britain campaign partnering with the Clipper Race for the second time, the partnership will continue to raise the profile of the UK around the world as the best place to do business with, invest in, study in and visit.
GREAT Britain is the UK Government’s most ambitious international marketing campaign ever. It showcases the best of what Britain has to offer in order to encourage the world to visit, study and do business with the UK. The campaign aims to deliver increased levels of trade, investment, tourism and high-quality students, leading to a measurable economic impact of at least £1bn and the creation of over 10,000 direct jobs for the UK economy.
Using the race’s global platform, UK Trade and Investment will be promoting the best companies in the marine sector, profiling experts in advanced manufacturing and showcasing some of the global leading UK tech companies.
At almost every stop there will be in port activation with the network of UK Trade & Investment and Foreign Diplomatic staff waving the flag for British business.
The GREAT campaign will also use the Clipper Race platform to spread messages such as ‘Britain has over 2,500 museums, many of which will cost you nothing’ and that a record 500,000 businesses started up in the UK in 2013, helped by a business environment with the fewest barriers to entrepreneurship in the world.
