At the heart of a circumnavigation is of course the sailing, crossing the world’s toughest oceans and racing to win. But the benefits are much more far reaching. After eleven months, round-the-worders have an unmatched sense of achievement after completing the challenge of a lifetime. Team mates will become extended family with shared memories and bragging rights! All four corners of the globe will be experienced,witnessing every weather type imaginable, sometimes all in the same 24 hours. When circumnavigators arrive back at their starting port, they’ll be standing that bit taller, built from a proud sense of accomplishment.

It’s a modest club of individuals that know what it’s like to race around the world under sail, but it’s also a very mighty one.
