SUSTAINABILITY

Adventure for Good: Creating positive impact through adventure, collaboration and innovation.

Across the Clipper Race, impact is a core value that drives our sustainability efforts. Driven by our vision to create lasting positive impact, we strive to minimise our environmental footprint and maximise our positive social contributions on water and on land.

As we navigate the world's oceans, we witness firsthand the impact of human activity on oceans, marine life and coastal environments. This experience fuels our commitment to protect and preserve our environment and contribute positively to the communities that we encounter throughout the Race.

OUR PILLARS

The Clipper Round the World Race recognises the importance of a holistic approach to sustainability. Our pillars - footprint, community and leadership, guide our efforts to create a positive global impact by addressing key aspects of sustainability.

The fourth stage of the Clipper 2023-24 Race, the Australian Coast-to-Coast Leg, supported scientific research through the deployment of drifter buoys from its ocean racing yachts. This built on a similar project from the previous edition, with the aim to provide further widespread data analysis of the ocean, as Clipper Race routing goes through less travelled waters and beyond traditional shipping routes.
