Thank you Oban for such an amazing final stopover. The town was incredibly welcoming and provided great food and drink, along with so many brilliant activities. The crew enjoyed exploring the local area, visiting some of the islands and sampling some of the many different whiskies.

Now we are under way after our first line start since Newcastle, Australia, seven months ago. So, we were a little rusty and mistimed our run-in meaning a quick stop was needed to prevent us crossing too early. This cost us and meant that we crossed the line at the back of the fleet, but still, better off than if we had been early.

The afternoon and evening provided us with a lovely tacking battle as we worked our way out of the Firth of Lorn. As I type this, the wind has rotated to the northeast, and we are drifting along under our Code 1.
